TitanGambits: In-Game Graphics Controls

Settings now includes RGB gamma, shadows, weather effects, character models displayed, footstep effects and animation frame rate under Graphics & Frame Rate. The controls use the same selected-button styling as the other options. Gamma and character count have compact minus/plus controls; the remaining settings offer each supported value as a button.

The controls read your current game configuration before you choose a value. Changes apply through the client configuration functions without chat commands and are saved for future logins. Gamma supports 0–100 per channel, shadows 0–2, weather and footsteps 0–1, character count 25–51 and animation frame rate 0–3. The animation setting is separate from the game FPS mode. Automated configuration and UI checks passed; in-game visual confirmation remains pending. Update through the launcher and reload TitanGambits. No server restart was required.

TitanGambits: Quiet Camera Adjustments

Camera adjustments no longer fill the chat windows with repeated XICamera patch-ownership diagnostics. Camera Status still reports unsupported controls and conflicts, and the explicit camera status command remains available. The ownership checks that prevent camera changes from overwriting another addon are unchanged.

The camera controller and host checks passed using simulated client memory. This update changes diagnostic output only; it does not change camera settings or patch behavior. Update through the launcher, then reload TitanXICamera and TitanGambits. No game-server restart was required.

TitanGambits: Organized Settings

TitanGambits 2.4.85 organizes Settings into eight collapsible categories: Appearance & Layout, Graphics & Frame Rate, Camera Settings, Music & Game Sounds, Plugin Sounds, Character & Party, Cutscenes, and Connection. Each section opens independently, making it easier to find a control without scrolling through every option.

Appearance & Layout contains interface mode, colors, opacity, text size and window resets. Compact-mode positioning controls are grouped there too. The existing buttons, sliders and saved preferences retain their behavior. Lua checks and the existing FPS, Gamepad, pop-out, cutscene and command regression suites passed; in-game layout confirmation remains pending. Update through the launcher, then use /addon reload TitanGambits. No game-server restart was required.

TitanGambits: Integrated Camera Settings

TitanGambits 2.4.83 brings Camera Settings into Settings as a collapsible section. Customization starts OFF. When enabled, it provides normal and battle camera distances from 1 to 40, horizontal speed from 0.5 to 20, manual vertical speed from 0.5 to 40, automatic vertical speed, battle rotation limits, a height offset and a separate Snap Height action. The initial distance presets are 6.0 and 8.2. Changes apply while playing, and preferences are saved locally for each character after an edit finishes.

The integration uses XICamera 0.8.0's camera core through one separate owner component. It redirects supported camera readers to private values rather than editing shared constants used by movement animations. The Settings controls read the owner's active values, disable unsupported controls and report missing or conflicting patches. Existing XICamera files and preferences are preserved; a competing camera owner is not silently unloaded. Restore Defaults uses the original values captured from the running client, which can differ slightly from the initial presets. Disabling customization restores only patches still owned by this component.

The restart-free release passed 37 controller and ownership checks, 24 bridge and UI checks, 15 host and persistence checks, and the existing Gamepad, FPS, pop-out, cutscene and command regressions. These are automated checks, including simulated memory and events; actual FFXI camera behavior, graphics-wrapper compatibility and gameplay coexistence with TrueFPS have not yet been confirmed. Update through the launcher, reload TitanGambits and open Settings > Camera Settings to opt in. No game-server restart was needed.

Gamepad Setup in TitanGambits

TitanGambits 2.4.81 includes a Gamepad page, also opened with /gamepad, for selecting an XInput or DirectInput controller, assigning native FFXI controls, testing inputs and saving device profiles. Setup starts OFF and leaves an existing controller configuration alone. Saving mappings requires an explicit confirmation, and native mapping changes take effect after fully restarting the game through the launcher.

Microsoft-signed Titan Launcher 1.6.17 reads the same controller profile when generating Titan and Dynamis launch settings. Enabling Gamepad Setup allows controller polling for the next launch; turning the setup wizard OFF does not disable a working gamepad. The launcher also provides Controller Recovery for restoring a previous setup or pre-wizard native mappings. The recent pop-out dragging and Instant cutscene-default changes remain included.

All 135 focused automated checks passed across the controller model, UI, Windows helper, saved-profile contract and public launcher integration, alongside existing addon regressions. No physical controller was connected during these checks, so actual button and analog mapping, unplug/reconnect behavior and in-game controller acceptance remain unverified. The documented XInput starting layout is limited to the primary XInput slot; DirectInput uses guided capture rather than guessed brand presets. This is an optional setup feature. Update the launcher before using it, and keep mouse and keyboard available during configuration. No game-server restart was required.

TitanGambits: Free-moving Pop-outs and Cutscene Defaults

TitanGambits 2.4.79 prevents pop-out windows from docking into other ImGui windows and clears any existing dock assignment. Docking was still allowed after the earlier alignment update, so it could interfere with freely placing these windows. The left-aligned Pop Out and Dock buttons remain. Local tests passed 95 held-mouse movement, content-alignment and docking checks in ImGui, plus 31 Lua window checks; confirmation of smooth dragging in Ashita is still pending.

Cutscene Speed now starts on Instant when no saved choice exists. Selecting Normal still disables Enternity and saves that preference across addon reloads; existing saved choices are preserved. Instant advances supported dialogue automatically but does not skip every cutscene or animation. All 18 cutscene preference checks passed. Update through the launcher, then use /addon reload TitanGambits. No game-server restart is needed.

TitanGambits: Pop-out Alignment and Movement

TitanGambits 2.4.77 places Pop Out and Dock at the upper left of each supported tab, including Chat and MercantileGuild. The buttons no longer move toward the right edge as the available space changes.

Pop-outs also stop repositioning their parent window after ImGui has started drawing it. That position clamp could interfere with child-content layout while dragging near the screen edges. ImGui now handles window movement directly, while the existing size limits and saved window identities remain intact. Automated alignment, dragging-boundary, independent-window and chat checks passed; in-game follow-up confirmation is still pending. Update through the launcher, then use /addon reload TitanGambits. No game-server restart is needed.

TitanGambits: Pop-out Windows

TitanGambits 2.4.75 adds a Pop Out button to Chat, MercantileGuild, Inventory, Info, Missions, Experience, Parser, Venture Moogles, Recruitment and Gambits. Each tab can open in its own movable, resizable window in either Standard or Compact mode. The windows follow your TitanGambits color, transparency, scale and mouse-capture preferences, and stay open when you close the main interface. Close a standalone window or choose Dock in its original tab to return the contents there.

Chat pop-outs show the message feed, portraits, timestamps and scrollbar without the main interface or Sound button. Titan LS Chat and MercantileGuild can remain open together; their requests no longer cancel each other. Message sounds still follow your Chat Sound preference and play only for a feed that is being displayed. Collapsing or closing a chat window stops its feed unless the same chat remains visible elsewhere.

Window controls, independent chat feeds, saved appearance settings, Venture status visibility and error isolation passed automated checks, together with the existing FPS and button-delivery regressions. In-game layout, dragging and resizing confirmation remain pending. Update through the launcher and use /addon reload TitanGambits. No game-server restart is needed.
