Titan XI: Closed Beta Notice

During live beta testing, several serious exploits were discovered that may have compromised server integrity and gameplay fairness. As a precaution, Titan XI has temporarily transitioned to a closed beta while we investigate the extent of these issues, address vulnerabilities, and restore a fair and stable experience for everyone.

Server reopening is currently TBA. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work toward welcoming adventurers back to Vana’diel.

Website Artwork Credit Added

Updated the website footer to credit Mitsuhiro Arita (有田満弘) for the FFXI 18th Anniversary Wallpaper Artwork used as Titan's background art.

The footer now keeps the legal notice and artwork attribution in a stacked text block beside the mascot so the credit remains readable without changing launcher, gameplay, or client patch behavior.

New Titan Logo on the Website and Launcher

Replaced the main Titan logo with the new transparent gold artwork on the website and launcher Play page. Both preserve its original proportions, with a larger website presentation and additional launcher header space so the artwork remains clear above the character cards.

Launcher 1.5.17 embeds the new logo so existing installations receive it through the normal launcher update. Login, character selection and gameplay behavior are unchanged.

Battlefield Physical Trust Network LIVE

Activated the complete battlefield physical Trust network: encounter-local NPC placement, battle-specific dialogue and recruitment across 199 eligible encounters. The roster contains 204 Trust definitions and 816 distinct dialogue lines, each within the 140-byte limit. Twenty-five one-participant encounters retain their solo capacity and do not admit Trusts.

Recruitment enforces party and encounter capacity, character conflicts, stale-menu protection and combat lockout. Per-run state and cleanup prevent repeated mid-fight refills. NPC positions are checked against entry geometry at runtime; unsafe positions are rejected rather than forced.

The initial activation exposed an optional-field compatibility bug and automatically rolled back. The retry is live.

The two-client pilot was explicitly waived, not passed. In-game presentation and a traversal of every encounter remain unverified. No unrelated launcher, client asset, Valor-book placement, account or mail changes were included.

Battlefield Trust Core Support Activated

Activated server-side support for battlefield-owned dynamic NPCs, including matching-battlefield visibility, unique callback identities and cleanup when their owner ends. This is infrastructure only: no new battlefield Trust placements, recruitment adapter or dialogue is enabled by this release.

The intended release is installed and player logins are open.

The two-client pilot passing requirement was explicitly waived. The core patch is active; the full battlefield Trust network is not yet released.

Location-Aware Physical Trust Dialogue

Audited all 267 generated Valor-book Trust placements and rewrote their 1,068 dialogue lines. There were no exact duplicate strings, but repeated generic sentence patterns needed more character and local context. Greetings now address concrete zone details while preserving distinct character voices.

Every placement has greeting, acceptance, decline and full-party dialogue. All revised strings are distinct and at most 119 UTF-8 bytes, below the 140-byte limit. Coordinates, facing, models, Trust assignments and recruitment behavior are unchanged; all 196 books remain covered.

The Lua update is published; no server restart was performed.

Physical Trust Coverage at Every Valor Book

The final eight book locations now each have one physical Trust placement. All 196 Fields of Valor and Grounds of Valor books are covered, with zero skipped books. Every previously accepted placement is preserved.

Individual floor-route checks resolved the remaining sites. The narrow Den of Rancor location uses a connected, bent approach and a position 5.7 yalms from the book; Outer Horutoto uses a nearby walkable interaction area. NPC, door, guide and zone-line clearances remain checked.

The Lua update is uploaded; activation still requires a map-server restart. No client assets or server binaries changed.

Physical Trust Book Network: Second Placement Pass

The second placement pass resolves 113 of the 121 previously manual Fields of Valor and Grounds of Valor books, adding 158 physical Trust NPCs. Automatic coverage now reaches 188 of 196 books (95.92%); eight uncertain locations remain manual.

All 75 previously accepted books and 115 existing NPC placements are unchanged. New positions use connected walkable floor polygons, searches up to six yalms, and conservative clearance from walls, doors, guides, other NPCs and zone lines.

The Lua update is uploaded, but activation still requires a map-server restart. No client assets, launcher files or server binaries were changed.

Launcher Character Progress Cards

Launcher 1.5.16 replaces oversized character-card spacing with a compact portrait and identity header plus Jobs, Crafts and Missions tabs. Jobs use the same pixel sprites as the website; crafting levels, nation rank and expansion mission progress are read from character data.

An authenticated owner-only profile route allows signed-in players to view their own characters, including characters hidden from public listings. Public visibility is unchanged, cross-account requests are denied, and unavailable progress is not displayed as zero. The selected card tab survives refreshes.

No game-server restart or game asset changes are included.
