Titan Launcher: Clear Plugin Help

Plugin and addon help now explains TitanGamePad’s controller setup and restart requirements, TitanCollision’s walk-through behavior and NPC safeguards, PacketFlow’s packet timing changes, and TrueFPS’s frame-rate settings and incompatibility with Hybrid FPS. Clicking an entry or hovering over it shows the same description. TitanHub is now correctly described as a required feature menu.

The launcher and installer are signed with Titan’s Microsoft Artifact Signing identity. This update changes help text; saved plugin selections and gameplay settings are preserved.

Dynamis: Recruit AI and Subjob Test Update

Dynamis has a Recruit test update covering explicit subjob selection, healing and support priorities, PLD and NIN behavior, coordinated idle buffs, and formation and distance controls. Subjobs follow level and ability-access limits; a shielded PLD/NIN does not gain an extra Dual Wield offhand.

Paid rehiring uses a server quote and confirmation, costing 1,000 gil per started minute remaining, up to 30,000 gil. A successful hire starts a new 30-minute job cooldown. Stale and duplicate confirmations are rejected. The isolated test addon excludes automatic diagnostics and Shop Network.

Local builds and automated checks passed. Live client, combat, movement and payment-recovery acceptance remain in testing. This update applies to Dynamis only and does not change Titan gameplay.

TitanGamePad: Assign a Button to Select the Nearest NPC

TitanGamePad 1.0.1 includes an extra Select nearest NPC assignment. Open /titangamepad or /gamepad, enable setup and select your controller, then choose Assign Select nearest NPC. Release all controls, press the desired button or trigger, and confirm the assignment. It starts unassigned and is saved separately from the existing 27 native controller mappings. Clear NPC button removes it.

The assignment uses FFXI’s native /targetnpc command once per button press. It takes priority over that button’s normal action during regular play, while native menus retain their usual controls. It only selects a target: it does not talk to the NPC, move your character or start combat. The assignment applies immediately and works with the setup window hidden while TitanGamePad remains loaded. It stays inactive during native menus, cutscenes, zoning, chat input and controller setup. Digital buttons and triggers are supported; analog axes and DirectInput hats are excluded.

Existing controller profiles and native mappings are preserved. Native mapping changes still need an FFXI relaunch, but this extra assignment does not. All 126 automated targeting, input, settings, lifecycle and existing setup checks passed; physical controller and in-game acceptance remain pending. This is an addon update through the launcher, so no launcher executable change or game-server restart is required.

TitanCollision: Optional Player, Recruit and Pet Walk-Through

The former collision option is available again as TitanCollision, a separate optional addon in Titan Launcher 1.6.29. Its checkbox starts unchecked. Selecting it allows walking through other players, Recruits and friendly pets after login; terrain, hostile enemies and combat ranges are unchanged. Open /titancollision for the green selection buttons, or use /titancollision on and /titancollision off. Your choice is saved independently of the retired TitanHub Settings panel. Closing the window leaves the selected behavior running; unloading TitanCollision restores its own changes.

The controller restores normal collision before NPC interactions and during menus, cutscenes and zoning. It waits for an actual event release and two seconds of continuous idle control before applying walk-through again, rather than ending an event on a timer. Existing collision changes from other tools are not claimed, and TitanCollision suspends while Casper is loaded. Please use one collision controller at a time.

The launcher and installer were rebuilt, signed through Microsoft Artifact Signing and checked against the approved Titan signing identity. Automated entity, pet, packet, settings and lifecycle tests passed, along with launcher discovery, package and manifest checks. In-game movement and cutscene acceptance still need personal testing; this release is not a claim that all reported cutscene freezes are resolved. No game-server restart is required.

Dynamis Test Contribution Workflow

Dynamis test contributions now have a versioned submission and review workflow. Test changes can be reviewed separately before an administrator installs a matching server release. This setup does not install new gameplay changes or require a game-server restart.

TitanGamePad: Optional Standalone Controller Setup

The original gamepad setup is available again as TitanGamePad, an optional standalone addon in the launcher’s Addons list. It starts unchecked. After addon updates finish, use Rescan Installed if it is not listed, then select it for future launches. Open its hidden window after character login with /titangamepad or /gamepad; /titangamepad reset restores its default size and position. The window uses the same minus/plus sizing controls as the other Titan addons.

The restored setup includes XInput and DirectInput device selection, guided button assignment, controller testing, saved profiles, capture deadzone and neutral calibration, and previous-configuration recovery. Existing controller profiles are preserved. Setup remains OFF unless a saved setup was enabled, and loading or closing the addon does not disable a working gamepad. Changes require an explicit review and save, then an FFXI relaunch through Titan Launcher to apply native mappings.

TitanGamePad does not restore the removed TitanHub Options panel or load the Gambits engine. No game-server restart, launcher executable change or installer download is required. Automated model, UI-binding, lifecycle, native helper and existing-launcher profile tests passed. No physical controller was connected during these checks, so physical mapping and in-game acceptance remain pending.

Gambits: Party Polls Leaking Into Chat

Internal !gambit party status polls could appear in nearby chat when a party member was outside the requester’s zone or instance. Native code returned no preference row for that member, but the Lua snapshot formatter still tried to print its missing numeric fields. The resulting command error let the poll fall through into ordinary chat and prevented a complete party-status response.

Party snapshots now skip members whose native preference row is unavailable. Those members are included again when they become available; nearby party members remain visible, and ownership checks and saved preferences are unchanged. Lua 5.1 regression tests reproduced the original error and verified complete responses for all three supported protocol versions, returning members, duplicate entries and rejected remote writes. The server module supports hot reload, so this update requires no game-server restart or addon download.

Dynamis Windurst: Odious Necklace Change Withdrawn

The Odious Necklace drop expansion published earlier today has been withdrawn. This item belongs to the later Arch Dynamis system and the expansion was not intended for Titan level-75 content policy. The 34 added loot rolls and their Info display addition have been removed, restoring the behavior from before that update.

The rollback was applied live without restarting services or requiring a launcher update. All 60 inspected entries match their original loot behavior: the 34 additions are gone and 26 pre-existing native Necklace rolls remain as they were before the patch. No previously obtained items were removed.
